We are flexible on the packaging materials, pack weights, and delivery timings to meet your requirements. Unbar Rothon ingredients are supplied and manufactured from our accredited premises in Essex, near to London. Unbar Rothon ingredients are supplied throughout the United Kingdom, with in-house vehicles delivering to local customers in London, East Anglia and the South East. We also export to our international customers in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
Spices are supplied in accordance with our accreditations by the BRC Global Food Standard, including HACCP, and the BSI ISO 9001 Standard for quality management systems. Certified organic spices are available under licence from the Soil Association. Certified Kosher spices are also available. Relevant spices are covered by the VALID IT scheme for spices.     Allspice

    Available as Ground or Whole Allspice.
    Allspice is also known as Pimento, Jamaica Pepper, Myrtle Pepper, Pimenta, Newspice, Kurundu or Pimenta dioica.
    The ingredient is named allspice as it was thought to taste like a blend of common spices.
    Allspice should not be confused with a blend of common spices, so called ‘all spice seasoning’.

    Aniseed is also known as Anis, Anise or Pimpinella anisum.
    Aniseed is not to be confused with aniseed star from Illicium verum.

    Aniseed star is also known as Star Anise, Star Aniseed, chinese star anise, badian or Illicium verum.
    Aniseed star is not to be confused with Anise, Aniseed or Pimpinella anisum.

    Available as Whole Black Cardamom.
    Black cardamom is also known as Brown Cardamom, Kravan, Java Cardamom, Bengal Cardamom, or Siamese Cardamom.
    Black cardamom is also known as species of genus Amomum.

    Available as ground black pepper, coarse ground black pepper, coarse black pepper, cracked black pepper, mignonette black pepper and whole black peppercorns.
    The different size fractions are also described by the mesh size.
    Pepper is also known as Piper nigrum.

    Available as whole caraway seeds, or ground caraway.
    Caraway is also known as Meridian Fennel, Persian Cumin or Carum carvi.

    Available as whole cardamom or ground cardamom.
    Cardamom is also known as Green Cardamom, true cardamom or species of the genus Elettaria.
    Cardamom is not to be confused with black cardamom (a different species).

  • cassia

    Cassia

    Available as ground cassia or cassia powder.
    Cassia is also known as Chinese cinnamon or Cinnamomum aromaticum.
    Cassia is often used as a substitute for cinnamon.
    Cassia should not be confused for cinnamon, or Cinnamomum verum.

    Available as whole celery seeds or ground celery.
    Celery may be referred to as celeriac or Apium graveolens.
    The spice uses the seeds, not the stalks or roots of the plant.

    Chilli

    Available as whole chilli, chopped chilli,ground chilli, crushed chilli, chilli flakes, freeze dried chilli or chilli powder.
    Chilli varieties available include Cayenne Chilli, Chipotle Chilli , Santa Cruz Chilli and Jalapeno Chilli.
    Various countries of origin are available including Malawi Chilli, South American Chilli, or Indian Chilli.
    Chilli is also known as Chili, Chili, Chilli Pepper or the latin names.
    Latin names for different Chilli from the Capsicum cultivars include Capsicum annuum, Capsicum chinense, Capsicum frutesens and many more.
    All our chilli ingredients are tested certified from illegal dyes by UKAS accedited laboratories and are covered by the VALID IT scheme.
    Chilli should not to be confused with Chilli Powders which are blends of ground chilli peppers with other spices.
